Ready to move beyond the basics and take real control of your camera?
This intermediate workshop is designed for photographers who are comfortable with their camera and want to understand why their images work — and how to make them better. Ideal for those who have completed the Beginner's Workshop or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of digital photography.
We begin in the classroom with a practical recap of key fundamentals before diving into important intermediate skills including:
Understanding and using the Histogram for accurate exposure
White Balance and how to use it creatively, not just correctly
Metering modes and how they affect your images
We then head out into the gardens to put this knowledge into practice with hands-on guidance from Glenn, before returning to the classroom for a wrap-up and Q&A session.
Glenn Smith has been running workshops in the Australian Botanic Gardens for ten years and knows exactly how to help photographers bridge the gap between "taking photos" and making photographs.
This workshop is limited in numbers to ensure personal guidance throughout the morning.
Each participant will receive a set of written notes to take home.
